Hi, I’m new here & am a new tablet owner.
I bought the 1020 over Christmas & had the battery draining problems described elsewhere here. Today I found the repair tool & ran it.
Now the tablet come on to the passcode page, on entering the code i just get “something went wrong ( code 0x8009002d)
Restart your device to see if that fixes the problem “
Tried that a few times but still won’t start up.
Help please.

From a post on windows forums.
1. Sign in with password

2. Windows button with 'i' to bring up settings

3. Choose accounts

4. Choose sign-in options

5. Choose 'remove pin' (requires password)

6. Choose 'add'

Should then be working.

Bought a new (other)
10/20 off eBay just recently and the tablet worked perfectly up to about a week ago. Put the device on charge one night and the next morning came down to a dead tablet, No power, no charge light nothing!!!! It's now collecting dust in a cupboard as it's now no longer returnable to the seller.
So disappointed with this because the tablet keyboard combination is a great size for portability and I hate carrying large ungainly laptops around.
Tried the battery disconnect and reconnect to no avail, even thought there might have been some display problem so I connected it to an exterior display, still nothing. I don't particularly relish the thought that this may have to be consigned to landfill.
Is there anyone out there that's breathed life back into a dead unit and if so can you help. This tablet is practically new and if it's a board issue
I would replace it but they are as rare as rocking horse poop.!!!!!!!!

Hi,
might be a long shot, but when i went through the bios/firmware for 10/20 tablets a year ago they recommended turning of the fast start up button or if its not there the sleep/hibernation button for battery draining issues. touch wood no issues since.

Hi,
had a few more thoughts on your machine not starting up, is the mains charger playing up ? and a couple of years ago when everyone was trying upgrade to the next build microsoft issued a firmware update that distroyed loads of linx tablets, ( i had two new ones bricked and replaced) but i remember when we tried to start them the screen stayed off but the speaker made a noise . linx suport told me they where bricked and would need the motherboard reflashing which given the cost is not worth it. has your machine had an update which might have gone wrong? sorry not realy a solution but i hope i given you some ideas,

regards,
Denzil,
