Thanks for letting us know.

I've tried to install the update three times (twice had issues finding free space) and final time it just bombed out with a 0x80070002 error.

I now don't get offered it in WU :D

Hi,
I know storage space is a big issue with these tablets and I usually delete what I can and go for it with a minimum of 10GB free, monitoring the storage it drops to roughly between 4.5 and 4.9GB , I'm assuming you've had the famous Bios update though I don't think that might be a reason, I know what a roller-coaster ride it can be updating these machines and ive gone through three of them myself, its been a bit a bit scary here because we have been plagued by power cuts , not sure if I have all the answers but I will update on the new update on the linx 1020 and what its like, good luck .

hello,

I'm a week in on running 1809 update on my linx 1020, its running well with none of the file deletion issues that have affected some. the clipboard feature works well and the screenshot tool looks promising, had a cumulative update which is to fix the problems from the first upgrade and anyone going for it when its back I recommend full back ups (macrium reflect has rescued me many times ) to a external drive and a recovery USB drive. maybe ive been lucky but I will keep everyone updated on how its running.

Daz,

Thanks for the update.

Microsoft are now claiming to have addressed the file deletion problems in 1809.

I too use Macrium reflect for W10 backups and disc cloning it's great to have an easy to use and free tool for this :-)

Regards

Derek.

hello ,

three weeks in on using the new 1809 windows 10 upgrade on my linx 1020, when it first installed I noticed a slight performance drop (I.E.) boot up times etc, but to be fair its improved and ive had it in all upgrades. I like the new clipboard and the option to save clips etc, the screenshot tool is a vast improvement on the snipping tool, its easy to email screenshots and modify them. the file explorer dark mode is excellent and easy on the eye. the only minor issue has been getting things like the phone app and the Bluetooth working properly but I'm confident I can fix them. on the whole so far its been all good , I will keep everyone updated on how its running.

Hello,

I'm one month in running 1809 update on my linx 1020 and a ASUS laptop, I cant think of any problems so far, as with all upgrades I've had there's a slight performance drop( I.E.) boot up times etc, but now everything's back to normal and running well. I really like the new clipboard and screenshot tool much improved, had a issue with the store app not updating the apps but resetting the store cache fixed that. generally I'm very happy with it , I will keep everyone updated .
