Well, I manually updated and suffered what I googled to find is not unusual an issue which is that you end up with no Wifi after the update. Got the latest intel drivers on phone and used bluetooth to transfer the file to the tablet. Hey presto, all ok.

I have been having issues getting the tablet to start up since I installed the update but not sure if that's due to the update or the battery is already starting to drain quickly. I've now changed all power plan settings to do nothing to screen or HD after x time and that the power button and lid shut should do nothing. This way I hope that when I power the tablet off via windows shutdown, it is actually turning off and not sleeping etc.

The issue is a driver incompatibility somewhere which is causing the power button to be unresponsive.

I had exactly the same issue with my 820 and the Creators Update.

I haven't yet found a solution, but will let you know if I do. I suspect a firmware update will be needed

Got exactly the same problem, but totally screwed mine up trying to fix it.

Cheers. I thought it was battery drain but I think it is power button.

How does one get to BIOS? I've tried combinations of buttons but nothing. Seems dead in the water atm.

Press and hold volume up and while doing so, press and hold power until the device turns on.

I'm doing some more testing now, as I managed to re-create the issue on the Aniversary Update version of Win 10 (previously working correctly) by buggering around with my BIOS settings; so I'm going to do a clean install of Creators Edition (could prove tricky finding drivers afterwards) and see what happens if I then force the BIOS "best defaults" setting

I found most drivers updated over the net in Windows update, if not get the 1010 version drivers as mine all works correctly and using the registry change for the screen rotation to work correctly

The driver i right clicked on the ones that showed up in device manager and did the update driver on the net first.

Emailed support to see what they knew:

Users have reported a few issues with their Linx 1020's when updating to the Creators update. These include issues with the battery draining and WiFi drivers being outdated/corrupted. We have a few solutions for both issues that have worked 80% of the time, and for the other 20% we have asked users to reset their tablets and refrain from installing the update for the time being. Our software team is currently looking for solutions into these problems, too.

Yeah i emailed them about the problems, trouble is don't think you have a choice when it installs, so maybe problematic to uninstall again.
