HDMI Power drain

When I connect my tablet to the tv with a HDMI cable, I get extream power drain. Even plugging in the charger, the battery still drains.
Has anyone else seen this issue?

Just joined the forum this morning so am still browsing previous posts. Please excuse me if I've missed a previously related post.

I've had a 1010B for a while now and taken it on several family holidays to watch movies etc from a USB stick, usually via HDMI.
Never seemed to be an issue until last year in Sri Lanka - when I did the usual of connecting up the PSU and HDMI cable. After about an hour the screen suddenly went dead (TV) with a message saying no signal.
Never really bothered as it was late.
Put it down to possibly using a low power (.7a) PSU Phone charger in error, as both PSU's were plugged in to the same double socket and have the same end.
I have seen bits elsewhere suggesting that even the proper 2a PSU is not up to much and 3a units are better?
I might give one a go as we're away again in Oct?
