Unable to load Microsoft User account on fresh install

Postby JaseUK » December 28th, 2016, 8:44 pm

Hi guys,
Just purchased the Linx Vision and I love it. I purchased it from Argos for £99 which was an absolute bargain.
When I turned on the Linx and began the W10 installation the device saw my home network and I thought I had connected okay. However it didnt give me the option to put in my Microsoft account details and had to create a local user. This is a little annoying and I was just wondering if the drivers are there during installation to connect to a network.
Any advice would be great.
thanks

Use the cortana search bar in desktop mode to search for "activation".
You should get a link to activation system settings app.
In there should but a link to activate windows. Once this is done, you can add your microsoft account to your user profile.

Thanks for your reply but I think you miss my point. I can activate my account no problem its just not allowing me to connect to my account during the Windows installation phase.

Any reason you need to during the Windows installation?

This is going to sound daft but I simply dont like the fact that I now have a user account on my system that I dont want. Its not a simple case of deleting it either.
Its just a preference thing thats all. ;-)

You don't need to, you can add your live account to the user account and merge it into one.

Select settings from start menu

Then select accounts

The go to your account.
In there should be an option to add live account to the offline user account. That's how I did it.
