Does anyone know whether the Samsung 64gb EVO plus will work its a newer version of the EVO it should be a bit quicker. It's this one.....

Just to confirm, Sandisk 128GB, work fine once you replace the drivers with the ones I linked to in another post.

I have a 32 Gbyte SD card plugged in and even at that capacity it continuously disconnect.
I suspect it this might be more of a system or driver failure than the card itself. I have tried two different cards and the disconnect happens

Although, Windows will usually tell you that you have a more up-to-date driver already installed so you have to overcome that first.

Plus we have to remember, any changes to os may be seen as warranty voiding.
I'm ok with that as I know what Im doing.

re SD cards

I think that you will find that the problem with cards disconnecting or not working is related to the read write speed of the card.


a lot of SD cards sold have a very low read write speed... they are not reliable

you need a card with a high write speed .... around 100 Mb/s suitable for use in a modern high speed camera.
there are low cost cards on the market with write speeds as low as 10 Mb/s these will not work
