Just got GTA IV working on Vission with ease but it is a bit slow.Open to game tweak help, lets all jump on this,on low settings with shadows off its borderline playable.
Download GTAIV from steam games list(as it will not install straight after purchase)
Start game, let it do some downloads, keep going forward, pres red x to exit games for windows and your in.
Turn settings on low
Shadows off
Trinear filtering
Lower res a little.

I am sure with some help we can can tweak to get it a little faster...
Also big well done for creating compatability lists, vision 8 is awesome!

Interesting as GTA IV, is 64bit only. I was forced to switch to 64bit on my sons PC, just to get it to launch.
Even Rockstar state, it requires 64bit. I have seen patches online, where people have hacked the exe to work with 32bit.

If you have it running, have you tried disabling CS and putting it on High Performance power plan?

How you do that? I have cread somewhere someone lost use of there power button after doing it, is there a safe way,(novice here) of doing it, step by step guide if poss..

I posted a guide. Its in the guide section.
First I have heard of someone loosing power button function. Mine just shuts down tablet now. Which can be annoying as I have pressed it thinking its volume.

Hi guys

Im a proud new owner of a Linx vision 8 this christmas as a present from my partner

Im a bit worried about gaming, ive always had a ps4 etc...

Never tried gaming like this before, glad i found this forum as you seem like you all know what your doing.

when it comes to the game list you have provided, can i literally download steam onto my vision and get the games from that?

or can i only stream from steam and xbox etc??

i would love it if i can download them straight onto the tablet without having to have wifi 24/7 to play etc.

Complete noob when it comes to this stuff, anything advice would help

cheers guys

Hi.

best thing to do is get a decent size sd card. Then install steam to sd card. You can then throw steam games and native games to sd card.

Crash time 3 works really well. Needs a controller map though.

Playing dishonoured now. Seems pretty smooth so far and less than £3 on steam at the moment! You need to be registered to view this link, please log-in or register

Hi guys, the other half got me one of these Christmas and I'm loving it. I've got a majority of my games working and managed to solve my SD card issues eventually but I'm having trouble using Pinnacle for Oblivion.

If anyone has any ideas on how I can sort this out please let me know because it's driving me crazy! The game runs perfectly, I just can't get the gamepad to work. I've tried everything I can think of.

The right stick controlling the mouse is behind the game and it shows at the edge of the screen. I really am pulling my hair out! Thanks in advance!
