List of working steam games running natively

Postby dazzab73 » December 4th, 2015, 8:40 pm

Hi all,

I have been trying out a few of my steam games running natively. Here are the games I have found to be working. I have Steam installed on the c:\ drive and my steam library is on a 64gb san disk ultra micro sd card. I have run all the games at 1280x800.

I plan to test a lot more games in my steam library and will update this list as I test new games.

Anyway, on with the list!!

@Dann,

What may need to be done is start a new list especially for Linx Vision. What I have found during my testing over the last few days is there are some games which worked fine when running under windows 8.1 but fail to run on Windows 10. Conversely, I have found some games which barely ran on the older Linx tablets which run far better on the Linx Vision.

I will update the list to include the games I have found don't work on Windows 10. A few examples are South Park - Stick of Truth, Assassin Creed 1 and Borderlands 1. They ran fine on my Windows 8.1 Linx 10 but fail to start on Windows 10.

Thanks providing these game so far, I sadly have to wait until Christmas to get my hands on my Linx Vision. Do you think Mass Effect 1,2 & 3 will work on this natively?

Many thanks,

Jason

@Jason,

I don't have Mass Effect 3, but I have just tried Mass Effect 1 and 2 and they run fine on the Linx Vision at 1200x800. The only issue is neither Mass Effect 1 and 2 support the xbox controller. So, you would have to either play them using a bluetooth keyboard and mouse or use one of the joystick mapping applications, such as pinnacle game profiler.

hey

i know its completely different to the whole steam game list but I've been testing and playing PS2 games via pcsx2 with Xinput and I've had little to non lag with multiple games.

Its nice to be able to play my old ps2 backups on the go and its gonna kill time on my 3 hour trip over Xmas.

Cheers for that Dazzab73 - Shame about the controller not working with the games, does it not pick up the controller at all? Wonder if that app also posted in this forum that can change the controller into a mouse would have any effect? Plenty of other games to try it seems. I can see myself with a collection of MicroSD cards!

@Thegamechanger - Love my emulation too, looking forward to testing out Dolphin for a few GameCube titles. Also MAME is going to be interesting. Glad the PS2 is working well.

The Controller Companion app only simulates the mouse - so it does work within Mass Effect 1 or 2 but all it does is make Shepherd look around the environment. You still need a keyboard to move him.

I did find this which may help

@gamechanger -
It is good to know PS2 emulation works well. I have loads of old PS2 game tucked away in a cupboard. Maybe I should dig them out, rip them and give them a try.
