Linx 1010 turning off all the time

Postby Meado » December 18th, 2016, 7:37 pm

Hi, We have a Linx 1010 tablet and it has started turning itself off almost immediately after it is turned n, sometimes we can get to log onto it but then it just turns off again. The socket where the charger plugs into seems loose but it does show the it as being plugged in and charging.

Are you able to see how much it has charged up? Will it still work while the charger is connected?

What about the power button, could there be a problem with that depending on how hard you press it? Is there any possibility it's getting stuck?

It says it is on 7% and is charging (the symbol comes on showing it is plugged in) and it even turns off whilst plugged in. The power button seems fine, no issues with it sticking etc.

Hi,

At 7% there might not be enough power to keep the device on so turns off until there's enough charge.

Have you managed to fully charge it and if so does the tablet stay on?

If not first thing to try is a new USB cable (not charger) because the two little prongs may not be raised causing the connection not to be secure enough to charge the device properly. I've seen this happen a few times and also please don't by a cheap cable because you can have charging problems with these as well, look at about £3 price bracket for a 1m cable.

Cheers,
