Hi Guys I am really sorry to keep bugging you all but I think I may have found the source of my problems

I just wanted to verify.

How do I tell whether I have a linx 8 or a linx810

There are two ways:

Tap on Cortana and just type msinfo32 and Cortana should show "System Information" at the top for you.

Below is the long way:

Start > List Apps > Windows Administrative Tools > System Information

Your device's model number will be listed in the window on the right.

thanks Popcorn, what I wanted to ascertain is that my 810 I bought says on the back and in system info linx8

I was sold an older product which is why I was having these issues with screens etc, I used the recovery for the linx8 on this site and low and behold although its only windows 8 instead of windows 10 everything works perfectly.

you guys are all awesome and much better than the retailer I bought the device off.
