So I haven't used my Linx 7 in quite sometime.

And I return to see this

Hooking up my keyboard with a USB-OTG even with a Powered Hub it's not responding.

On a scale of 'Here is this fix you overlooked' to 'Yeah you need a new tablet'

How boned am I?

Could always use the recovery image? viewtopic.php?f=35&t=890

Out of interest, were you a part of the Insider program - just wondering if you were and the build you were on had a timebomb?

I don't know if you are still having this problem, but I've just spent a few hours fighting the same on mine and eventually managed to reinstall Windows 10.

I'm sorry, I'd love to be able to give you a blow by blow account of what I did, but I pretty much threw the kitchen sink at it until it worked. I used a combination of the following:

I used Rufus (You need to be registered to view this link, please log-in or register) to create a UFEI / FAT bootable USB drive with an old Windows 10 ISO I found on my main computer. I couldn't get it to boot, but eventually managed to use it to re-install from.

I used a USB keyboard to change the date in the bios (press escape during boot to enter) to an earlier one to allow the version of Windows I had installed to boot; I had to turn off my wifi router to prevent it automatically updated back to the real date.

I managed to get to the Windows boot menu, possibly by holding down volume up whilst resetting, and from there followed the option to install from a USB device.

I've now got a very old version of Win10 running and activated; I've not got working touch drivers yet, and the thing is running slowly, but I'm getting there - at least it boots now.
