Hi everyone,

I have just purchased two Linx 7 tablets (the price and good reviews sold them to me).

Since purchasing, only a couple of days ago I have noticed the shockingly slow charge up time. Not only this but when using either of the Tablets plugged into the mains, they do not charge but stay at the same battery percentage.

I am currently using one of the Tablets and it is at 34% and has been for the past 35 minutes.

I find it very strange as I have had an Ipad and a samsung tablet and never had this issue, moreover BOTH Linx 7 tablets I purchased are doing the same thing so it doesn't seem like an uncommon issue :(

Any help/advice would be much appreciated!

Are you using the charger and cable that the devices came with?

In my experience, most of the Bay Trail devices are very picky about what charger you use with them - if it's not right it will drop to a trickle charge. If you're using the device at the same time it eventually results in the battery going down because the charging rate is that slow.

Thanks for the reply,

I used the original chargers provided. I also noticed that both the Tablets didn't hold their charge either, even over a few hours with them switched off the battery would deplete. At times they would also freeze.. it was all very strange.

After browsing through different sites and reviews, I've noticed a number of others complaining about the same issue.

I contacted the online store I purchased from and the arranged to have them picked up. I am now waiting for them to dispatch two new (hopefully fault free!) ones.

Mine charges not very fast with 1.5Amp charger, but once I connect it with iPad charger, it goes quite well.

An iPad charger is rated for 2.1A, so in theory it should be 1/3 quicker :)

That's IF the 1.5A charger is kicking out 1.5A too - if its a cheap charger it might be a lot less.

I know this is pretty old, but I can confirm this. My Linx is barely useable with it's poor battery life and terrible charging rates (That often resut in the tablet turning itself off)
