I'd be interested to see how that goes - I'd like to try it out on the spare Linx.

Hello All.

I'm having a bad night here. Can't sleep again (SWMBO very poorly, surgery cancelled again!) so having a play... I've had little free time over the last couple of weeks.

Anyway, I found the following on Distrowatch : You need to be registered to view this link, please log-in or register

Android x86 4.4-r3 available as iso (for legacy bios) and img (32 bit Grub2 EFI) formats.

I've only just tried booting the EFI version from flashdrive, I'll try to install it when I've got a little more time.
A Linx 10 boots Android live perfectly OK. Wifi **WORKS**, as does screen rotation and the touch screen.

Two problems so far.. The screen is 180 degrees out (rotation follows this) and no audio.

I've been playing with modding other versions. I've successfully added a newer kernel but am still having Wifi problems.

This version of Android looks more promising, so I'll concentrate on this one.

I am slightly bemused that anybody would want to use a Linx as an android tablet when then there are hundreds of cheap android tablets.

I use android on my phone as no option but much prefer my Linx W8.1 tablet and rarely use my android tablet.

Is it possible to boot the Linx Windows os off another drive ?

I've done this for years with my works laptop ( the laptop os is locked down ).

I've got a spare 250gb ssd with Windows 10 in it that I use as a portable os
