Any updates with regards to the Linx 10 and Android?

I've been considering this from day one, especially as like some of you guys i've been seeing equivalent spec tablets running Android myself and i'm pretty certain that the android side of things would perform far superior to Windows 8.1 Bing and Windows 10.

Do we have any updates on this ?

I installed 4.4r3 today and it seems to work very well got an Antutu score just over 38k.

Apparently Android 5+ will bring much better performance when it's ready.

Edit: Just tried 5.1.1rc1, getting a 49k Antutu score.

I would love to try this on my 1010. Is there some step by step instructions of what to copy where and how to get newbies up and running?

That's great news mate, I'm getting sick of Windows 10..

Did your sounds, rotation and webcam all work still... Any major problems or anything?

What source did you use (information-wise) to get your device all setup and operating?

Sorry for Hijacking thread!

I have had some success with Android on linx tablet, I have working wifi, need to just double check bluetooth, but in terms of operation all looks good, responsive screen plays videos & sound all ok.

Unless I tip the tablet upright android then restarts. Lying flat on a surface or table it works fine, has anyone else experienced this?

I might just try a reflash (I have two tablets one entirely untouched so might repeat the process).

Virtually, you can run Android with no glitches using AmiDUOS on Windows, however, because it is virtual it isn't very fast; but is quite good for daily use and did run a couple of 3d games when I tested it on my Linx 10.

If you want to run real Android you can do so with Android-x86, however, there is quite a lot of problems with bay trail tablets such as GL drivers, oritentation not working, no sound, wifi possibility of it working. On one Dell Tablet baytrail like ours, the sound released a toxic smell, so it's also possible for the tablet to burn; testing any experimental kernels on Android-X86 is disencouraged.

So try AmiDuOS, much safer, everything works and lollipop! If price is a issue, there are also free emulators like MEmu which also runs well on this tablet.
