Thank you for your replies. I don't know what I did - repeated delete/reinstall/reboot cycles - but I'm back the right way up!

I'm still stuck without auto-rotation on my Linx 8, after successfully upgrading to Win 10. I've tried every suggestion I can find on this forum, but none of them are working and I can't get the "Orientation Lock" option to appear in the Action Center.

I've done the following:
- installed the kxaccel-1.0.13.20-win8-x86.exe driver (as Administrator).
- successfully applied the GsensorD8012.reg fix, and verified it in regedit.
- rebooted

I've also tried changing the values of the "ACPI\SMO8500\1-0" and "Orientation" registry keys to every different value others have suggested in various posts, then rebooted, but still nothing.

I've updated "Kionix KXCJ9 Accelerometer SPB" device to the latest driver, in Device manager, then rebooted but nothing.

I must have tried all of the above about 5 times each, but nada.

Would someone who has this working be able to tell me what version of driver is reported for this device in Device Manager? I'm seeing the following:
- Driver Provider: Kionix Inc.
- Driver Date: 19/03/2015
- Driver Version: 1.2.8.1

Any further suggestions would be gratefully received.

Hi,

I am trying to fix the screen rotation on my son's LINX7 - does anyone know what the Orientation key values actually mean?

I have tried installing several times, but it still rotates 90 degrees out!

Thanks

You need to run the reg file mentioned to sort a 90 degree error out.

If you have a 180 degree problem you need to modify the orientation key as below

"Orientation"=hex:00,00,01,00,00,00,02

Some people seem to need to do just the reg file, some need to use the mod above, I suspect the sensor has been put in upside down on some models?

No idea what the values actually mean, but I suspect there is a set for each 90 degree turn, maybe more.....

Edit the reg file to contain value as post above and rerun reg import.

You can edit registry directly but that is a little trickier.
