I updated my Linx 8 from 1803 to 1809 using the update now button and it updated very smoothly - took about 90 minutes.

Runs fine - no issues identified.

Thanks for sharing - good to hear that it worked.

It seems there have been problems with it deleting users files and folders.

This only applied DURING INSTALLATION if you had previously redirected your user folders to another drive (common on tablets to an SD card) BUT chose not to move data in original user folders on C drive to the new user folder (rather stupid choosing not to anyway).

Anybody with half an ounce of common sense would back up data anyway.
