I guess Exertis changed the digitizer slightly as the Linx 8 uses the exact same file.

I'll release an update that supports the Linx 8 3G by the weekend. Thanks for the info :)

I got a reply regarding the BIOS, they sent me the same package they sent you, I asked them to double check if it supports the 3G model and they assured me it does, however when I came to apply it I see:

Seems odd to me that the model is changing so haven't had the nerve to continue, sent the screenshot back to them and asked them if they are sure.

However, given this BIOS update was to fix the issue with the touchscreen and I don't actually have an issue - it may be a bit pointless...still, nice to have an updated BIOS if there is one.

I must say FCU flies better than any previous version of Windows on the device IMHO.

Don't install the BIOS update. It'll cause issues for you, that I guarantee.

The BIOS update better handles some power states, but your 3G variant most likely already contains a fix if everythings working.

Many thanks for the link to the Lenovo forum about setting the DWORD's in Registry Editor to get the touchscreen working without the power cable plugged in. It's worked a treat for me.

Almook, I did reply to you but for some reason my reply hasn't become public. I said that you shouldn't apply the BIOS update to the 3G variant.

You should install the driver pack instead as it'll improve the performance and power state handling. Without it a future Windows update will probably cause a few issues.

That'll work, but it's the old version. The newer version contains the BIOS update and it'll try to gracefully handle the Linx 8 3G and Linx 810.

Many thanks for this! I've battled all week trying to get my Linx 8 updated to the latest version of Windows 10 and l this was the final piece of the jigsaw I needed to get the touchscreen and screen rotation working :)!

Nice work and thank you again!
