Linx 8 Clean Install - Best Drivers

by rustyspoons » October 3rd, 2015, 10:35 pm

I have activated Windows 10, so done a clean install, I have done a cleaner than clean install in fact, I used diskpart on the Windows 10 installer using the clean command.

Just about to install drivers, what are the recommended ones for the Linx 8, on the command centre there is main link and then files dated August 3rd, I haven't seen any discussion on this forum regarding which are the recommended drivers or what combination to use?

Use the mr7d driver package or the original drivers. Many have had issues with the "latest" drivers.

I did a win 10 pro Install. And found the mr7d drivers worked fine

Thanks Phil G,

Where can I find the MR7D driver package?

Found them Phil G, take a look at your one drive, some screenshots are available to everyone.

Also these are for the Linx 10, mine is a 8, are the drivers the same, out of curiosity where did these come from and what is a MR7D?

Phil G,

The MR7D driver package does not work with the Linx 8, it fails straight away on the chipset driver, I have tried a number of ways including running as an Administrator but it doesn't work.

That would be easy if I had drivers missing, but there are none missing just generic Microsoft ones :)
