Bluetooth Keyboard issues on Windows 10

by moonklash » August 27th, 2015, 4:39 pm

Hey guys,
I just purchased a Belkin QODE Bluetooth Keyboard for Android after reading the reviews on Amazon which said people are using them with Linx 7. I've run into some problems with this - wondered if anyone else experienced the same?

Tablet: Linx 7
OS: Windows 10 Home

Initially I couldn't find the Bluetooth settings so I downloaded the Windows 10 drivers from this site.
Tried installing but received a message stating they were for a different computer.
Manually removed the device in Device Manager, planning to manually add these.
Rebooted, Bluetooth now shows.
Paired with the keyboard successfully
But then I type on the keyboard and nothing happens. It shows as 'Paired' but doesn't say anything about being connected.
The Bluetooth keyboard is listed as 'working normally' under Devices.

As a test I tried it on my laptop - same behaviour (Lenovo Thinkpad).

I then tried it on my phone - worked just fine.

So assuming the review on Amazon was correct about this running fine on Linx then I guess this is a Windows 10 issue?

On a separate note I'm not sure I like this keyboard. It keeps sliding down to the table, failing to support the weight of the tablet. Unfortunately it was an eBay job and I didn't correctly read the description and that the keyboard was 'refurbished' :-(

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Same issue here. It was working until recently but now its completely failing with the linx.

I've tried the right click set as hid tip but that just makes the keyboard disappear from the connected devices list. There is another solution in the fixes section here but it is so cryptic as to be of no use.

Any more ideas? Just seems odd how it was working and now not.

Got the same issues with an Anker bluetooth keyboard. The strange thing is the pairing procedure asks for a number to be entered on the keyboard, which works OK, but then the keyboard is reported as paired, but no keystrokes are registered???

OK got this sorted: when the keyboard is paired, got to Control Panel>Devices and Printers>"Devices" should show the keyboard. Right Click>properties>Services> ensure that "Drivers for keyboard, mice etc" is ticked. Then OK back to the desktop.
Solved it for me!

Thank you, pigolato! You are a super genius! I have tried so many things to get my Bluetooth keyboard working I've lost count. None worked and all were so much more complicating. I hope this post helps others. Thanks again!
