I have been experiencing camera problems with Windows 10 as well but I may have the fix you've been looking for??!!! I have a Linx 10 that I recently upgraded to Windows 10. However, like many of you I couldn't get the camera to work. The problem I had was that although all the drivers etc seemed to be installed properly when I opened the camera app I was just presented with a blank app window and a message box across the front saying:
Something went wrong:
Make sure your camera is connected and not being used by another app.
Despite using drivers available from these forums and even the drivers I was given access to by Exertis support staff none seemed to fix the problem. Then I had a EUREKA moment. There must be other devices that have the same camera but aren't experiencing the same problems as us. Consequently I ended up on the Lenovo support pages!!! I downloaded the full driver package from this page: You need to be registered to view this link, please log-in or register
The file is a self extracting zip file. Be careful when you run this on the last page there is a tick box that is selected which wants to run the install process. Make sure this is unticked before you click finish. Once that has finished go into the Device Manager and uninstall your camera device and drivers.
then right click in the window and select Scan for Hardware Changes. Once this has finished find your device under the Other Devices tree node right click it and select Update Driver Software. When the window opens select Browse my computer for driver software then point it to the directory you just unzipped the drivers into and tick the Include subfolders tick box before clicking next.
Hopefully this works and all is good. I can't remember if I needed to do a restart or not but I can confirm the camera DEFINITELY WORKS
with these drivers from Lenovo.
