[IMPORTANT] Windows 10 SR1 Released

Postby Dann » August 6th, 2015, 12:46 am

Windows 10 SR1(KB3081424) has just been released.

Downloads via Windows Update as "Cumulative Update for Windows 10 (KB3081424)"

This is a huge package of bug fixes, so if you're having issues, try updating your tablet to this update first, and see if that resolves your issues.

Ive noticed that BBC news now works, the links before wouldn't click now they do. Now if they can fix the touch keyboard that keeps missing touches and crashes everytime it corrects words that would be awesome.

No disrespect DANN, but for clarity - this is not SP1, but merely a normal cumulative "Patch Tuesday" set of updates.

MS have made it clear they are not producing Service Packs anymore, and users (home edition) will get all updates and can only defer installation.

I suggest we avoid term Service Pack to avoid any misunderstanding.

Where do you get "Service Pack" from?

Yeah - should wear my reading glasses! Still the point is MS are not using such designations, so could confuse people eg they could ak "how do I tell if SR1 is installed". It won't be flagged up on the system summary screen.

Since this update I notice that neither the micro USB nor the mini HDMI ports are working. I have tried to reinstall the drivers for linx 10 as defined in these threads, but still no change.

Any ideas?

I could also re-install windows - how do I that if he micro USB isn't working?
