Xbox has RROD wrote:I was prompted to install a new driver today from Windows 8.1 Update.

3008.8.401.2015

I was also prompted to install that driver version. In the device manager, under "Network adapters" I see that the "Realtek RTL8732BS Wireless LAN 802.11n SDIO Network Adaptor" is now using that driver version.

However when I look at the "Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)" and "Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI") devices I see that they are both using Microsoft Driver versions 6.3.9600.17238 dated 21/06/2006. Under "Bluetooth", I see that the "Bluetooth Radio" device is using a Microsoft driver version 6.3.9600.17415 dated 21/06/2006.

This thread's title seems o imply that the "Realtek RTL8723BS WiFi/Bluetooth Driver" covers both Wifi and Bluetooth devices, so I'm a bit confused by that. Do other folk with Linx 8 see what I am seeing?

I have been having issues with the network connection recently, primarily validating the network and showing up with a limited connection. This error has surfaced possibly only the last two weeks, I have driver version 3008.8.401.2015 ,With drivers dated 15/05/2015. I'll update to the most recent ones from this topic and report back if the error is resolved. It seems to run the battery flat much quicker since upgrading to windows 10. Has anyone else noticed this. ?

I'm running a linx 10 with windows 10 and a 32gig sd card installed (embeded) as a folder within the C drive.

Hi,

I have the same problem as redbuddha. I have bought the Linx1010 tablet 1 week ago and found out, that the WLAN is quite slower than with my WP8.1 Smartphone or my Laptop. And it often happen, that I get disconnected. Although the disconnect problem could be solved through changing the wireless mode to IEEE 802.11b/g - I am not sure.
I have the newest driver installed: 3008.8.401.2015

Even if the linx tablet works basically fine I am thinking about bringing it back, because the internet is too slow.

Do you have any ideas what I can try to improve the WLAN connection?

for the 2 posts above with the 1010, i too have had a problem with my wireless connection. i spent all night messing with settings. the whole b/g setting didnt work for me at all so i still have it connecting on b/g/n. what i have done which seems to have cured it (51mins no dc as of yet and stable). i found my encryption settings on my router and changed it from "wpa psk/wpa2 psk" to just "wpa2 psk" and left encryption mode on AES. i have also disabled WPS but that alone didnt make a difference.

worth a shot and thought id share :)

After spending endless hours trying to resolve the wifi problems with this device, I've ended up here.

Seems like the reviews online that complained that the device has a faulty wifi performance seem to be correct.

I've enjoyed the tablet, just got it but will require to send it back if I cannot find a solution.

So basically, just like plenty of others my wifi connects works for a while 5 mins/20 mins or so and just absolutely randomly disconnects - it's the only device that does this - I'm using a virgin media superhub - latest version. I have the latest drivers for the realtek installed etc, I tried to install other (older) recommended ones, but keep getting the "there is not compatible device etc " so they don't install.

I really don't want to send it back but I'm at a loss at the moment! the other tablets/phones in the house have no issues at all. I'm wondering if it really is just poor build quality. It's impossible to stream any video etc in the state it's in currently.

Any advice would be appreciated, I've tried all sorts but happy to go through it again.
