Enjoying my new Linx 8. Been testing out some games (and also getting some great use out of GestureWorks Gameplay).

These work great:

Code: Select all
Rogue Legacy              Platform: Steam         Peripherals: GestureWorks/Keyboard
Castle Crashers           Platform: Steam         Peripherals: GestureWorks/Keyboard
Halo: Spartan Strike      Platform: Steam         Peripherals: Native Touch

Been playing a lot of CIV4 (Fall from Heaven 2 mod) via Steam
Runs fine, some slowdown in turn time in late game once AI gets built up, but its manageable
Only issue is selecting groups of units/ queuing in city builder without access to ctrl/ shift.
But minor issues

Playing on Linx 10 with just the touch screen

I'll have to try that one, sounds good. I bought a keyboard and mouse but really just want to use the touch screen where possible.

For info Guys (just found this myself).....I've found a site that allows free, legal downloads of some cracking old games.

Check it out here

Hi, not sure how to add games to the list but this is my contribution

Code: Select all
Game: Star wars Empire at War
Hardware: Linx 10
Platform: GOG.com DRM Free release
No touch screen support
Mouse +Keyboard needed
Need to reduce Gfx quality settings to get good frame rates

currently downloading republic commando and rebel assault 1+2, i'll post later if they work.

Thanks :)
Republic commando is a no go but it seems there is a compatibility issue with 8.1. Downloading a patch and will try again on my dinner break.

Has anyone tried Silent Hunter 3 or similar? ... Wondering if that'd work ok?

Cheers

Age of Empires 3 runs with everything on low and textures for land and characters set to high, very smooth with touchscreen, just need to use the minimap to scroll - but you need a keyboard to save the game of the first time.
I have also tested
Alien versus predator gold - smooth with all settings to high
Gunmetal - smooth with settings on low
Heroes of might and magic 3 with HD mod - runs great with touch all options in launcher set to high.
Urquan Masters HD - runs great
Enemy Territory Quake Wars - running with all graphics to low and textures set to maximum - runs very smoothly.
Seems to be the way with the Linx10 set textures to high and other details to low.
Swapped my ipad mini for this such a great decision!
Currently awaiting my ipega controller in the post
