Game controllers

by tekkendp » January 26th, 2015, 4:58 pm

I was wondering what peoples weapons of choice is when it comes to game controllers. Any recommendations, configs, etc....

At the moment, I'm using my Logitech F710 Wireless controller. It's not bluetooth as you have to use a small dongle. It's xinput, and under windows 8 once the OS has downloaded it's driver nothing else is required. It work perfectly well. But I'm looking out for a good Bluetooth controller that is xinput compatible, without having to run dodgey drivers.

I have also got a iPega 9017, perfect on my Samsung S4, but that seems to be flaky at best with the Linx, sometimes it connects.

Finlly, I have used my old Logitech Driving Force Pro Force Feedback steering wheel. Using this with GTR2 on the linx, connected to a big tv running @ 720p is great. The Forcefeed back and general response is great. The game runs very well.

There you go - my kit. If any of you know of any Bluetooth controllers that work well under windows, and can work with xinput games, please let us all know.

I was looking for an xinput bluetooth controller but as far as I can tell they don't exist :-( I have been using the iPega 9017 with no issues, also an Xbox 360 wireless pad which is great for compatibility.

Xbox 360 wireless receiver & Xbox 360 wireless control pad. Most reliable configuration I've had across Windows, Ubuntu Linux & MacOS X for the last 8 years.

I've not used it either but colleagues at work have and seems legit :D One of the guys here orders lots of parts for remote controlled helicopters from there and I've not heard about any issues :)

Is this xinput compatible, or would I need to run something like joy2key?

Sorry, I meant I've used banggood. I was replying to K1lo's post, but I can see how that wasn't clear.
