Fingers at the ready! Gaming on the Linx!

DosBox (games mainly)

Postby BeeGeeDee » September 24th, 2015, 8:52 am

Has anyone had problems with DosBox on the Linx 1010. It exits immediately when trying to run. I wonder if perhaps it needs a keyboard attached?

More importantly, has anyone managed to get DosBox working correctly on the Linx 1010.

I'm going to answer my own question/request for information here. DosBox requires a keyboard and/or mouse to be connected for it to work. I actually have one of those mini keyboard/mousepad type things and when I connected that DosBox ran fine.

There is also a modified version of DosBox (or its SDL.dll file) which will work without a physical keyboard or mouse. Just Google "dosbox touchscreen as touchpad mod".
