Think poeple have forgotten, that windows limits the current to each port.
ASUS released a program to override that. Made my IPAD charge from USB, where before it didn't.

Higher Amp PSU won't really help, as it will only draw what it was designed to draw. Same when charging, battery will only take what it needs.

I've got PCI mode and vbus on in bios.

Currently have a hard drive, Logitech dongle thing and Xbox pad plugged in working perfectly. it's nice and neat too.

Running relatively intensive processes can see charge slowly drain, so I'll try a 3amp plug soon.

Cheers for the bios tip OP!

I used to have it working as well, but after few months of not using Linx (well, it is useless hardware), it no longer works, it is only data or charge.

Same with Dell Venue 8 cable

It ONLY works while booted to full OS (Windows with loaded drivers). It does NOT work in BIOS or in basic WinPE!

Hi all,

I ordered the Dell cable and it's working quite well thanks - the one from AliExpress is still shipping (waiting about 30 days so far with 20 left to go apparently).

I just wanted to ask, with all of these different solutions, if you lose power for even a second, do you then have to reboot your tablet again in order to get the USB host to work again?
