This is for the Linx 7, 8 & 10. These are not for the 810 or 1010.

Here is the factory USB recovery image for the Linx 7, 8 and 10. Note, I don't have the 7 or 10 devices personally but they should work!

You'll need:
*For the Linx 7:Download CAUTION: 5GB File!
*For the Linx 8:Download CAUTION: 5GB File!
*For the Linx 10:Download CAUTION: 5GB File!
*Rufus: Download
*A blank USB drive (Min 8GB)

1. Insert your blank USB drive and open Rufus. On the right hand side, click the CD icon (highlighted yellow) and select the ISO image you've downloaded.

2. Ensure the rest of the settings in Rufus are like the image. You must use GPT partitioning, and you must use FAT32. Press start to begin the process, it should only take a few minutes.

3. Insert the USB drive into your Linx and boot from it by holding the power button and Vol Up button together. Press the 2nd option (Boot Manager) and your USB drive should show in there. Select it.

4. Choose your language (UK is on the 20th page). Then you need to select Troubleshoot.

5. Chose the Reset your PC option and follow the on screen instructions. It will ask if you want to partition the drives - choose Yes. If you're keeping the tablet, you can choose the Just Remove my Files options when it prompts.

6. Press Reset and the process will take about 15 mins.[/hide]

Thanks for posting this, my own recovery image appeared to be corrupt somehow.

One query though - I presume the Office key on the tablet this was sourced from has been used. The only reason I ask this is that a fresh install with this recovery image yesterday tells me that I have until December 21 to activate Office, Therefore, I am wondering if it is pulling the Office key from somewhere else, such as embedded within the BIOS.

The office key is linked to the Windows product key which is stored on the tablets firmware. It's NOT preinstalled in the image, so this will still let you activate office if you haven't already done so.

Just to confirm, this also work a a treat on the Linx7, after I lost my restore partition after a diskpart clean fiasco!! Don't ask, school boy error!!

I even managed to get a full years subscription of Office 365, even though my original image said the offer had expired! Result! :)

So great work Nememo! This really was a simple fix thanks to you.

I almost wish I tried this before upgrading to a premium member account to get the option of factory images (coming soon), or well I'm still sure it will be money well spent. :)

Hi all. Does this run direct from OTG USB adapter, or do you need a USB Hub with Keyboard & Mouse attached as well to navigate?

Thanks in advance.
