Introducing the Linx Versare

Postby Dann » August 7th, 2016, 5:28 pm

We've just spotted a brand new Linx Tablet... the Linx Versare.

From what we can see so far, it looks just like the Linx 10, but has a LOT MORE POWER!

There is a couple of models, a 10" and a 12", with various configurations;

10 inch 2GB RAM 32GB , 4GB RAM 64GB

OR AN ALL NEW 12" LINX TABLET!

Chipset? baytrail or cherrytrail.

EDIT:- Sigh, looks like its the same as Vision spec. With a full size USB, WoW!!!!. What a waste of time.
Would rather see a better designed Vision with better controller.

Well, this will proberly be the last windows tablet, they will be making. As Intel have dumped all ATOM and all its varients. They are not making any more.

Thanks for that mate. I bought 2x10's from Sainsbury's and they told me they have 6 left but counting them as a discontinued line.
I think the problem is people don't believe how good they are just by looking at them on the shelves. It's not until you get them home you realise how fantastic they are. I'm glad i bought 2 of them.
Getting a windows tablet has been the best experience i've had with computers since 1979.

Core M is still going strong! A lot of tablets went for those instead and makes for a MUCH better experience than any Atom and substantially more capable!

That Versare at £350 seems really expensive to me for what you actually get - unless that's the price you pay for 12 inches? I picked up a Cube i7 almost a year ago for half that price - granted it's 10" not 12" - but you get a Core M CPU (not Atom), 4GB RAM, a Wacom touchscreen and sata SSD storage, not slow eMMC. At least the Versare has Cherry Trail and not the older Bay Trail - that really would've been a kick in the teeth for £350!
