You have set the right time zone haven't you ? It defaults to auto syncing to a time server which will change any time you set to that correct for the selected time zone

Right click/tap & hold on the time on the right of the desktop taskbar. Select "Adjust Date/Time"
Make sure the time zone is set to "(UTC) Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London"
Click/tap on the "Internet Time" tab, then click on "Change settings"
Make sure "Synchronise with an Internet time server" is ticked.
Click/tap "Update now" - wait a while until the message says "The clock was successfully synchronised..."; if it displays an error instead, choose another server from the dropdown and try again.

My linx 10 had this problem for a while. It lost about 25 minutes an hour!

I messed around a bit and it went away after a Windows Update. If your problem is like this, then it is a Windows 8 problem, not a particular Linx problem.

Interesting; same here, but it's only started recently. Neither the other Win8.1 machine nor the Win7 one have a prob.

One of the nist servers successfully synced, but it's still all over the shop. Continuing to investigate.

Whether this is a long-term solution remains to be seen, but what I've just done is this:

Enable the guest account in Control Panel -> Users
Log out and log in with the guest account
Restart, and log back in with your usual account
Re-synchronise the clock with your server of choice.

An hour and a half later, it's still spot on, which is way better than it was doing before. Damned sight quicker than refreshing.

Hi all,
This problem has started on my linx. A search found this problem occurs on other win 8.1 devices, makes me think its os rather than device. There are a number of sites that offer various solutions, from changing the default time server in setup, to restarting w32time service in registry, to adding a scheduled sync in windows schedule. There are also some freeware apps - atomic clock and Nettiesetup. I am going to give the freeware solutions a go.

Cheers

Ok one day on linx has kept perfect time. I did 2 things. I changed the default time server in the control panel date time internet page. And I ran program atomic.exe freeware atomic clock sync programme. Now time perfect every time
