I like my new tablet but find the headphone volume too low. Does any one know of a way to boost the output?

Hi Quartermass
It's weird how no other users are commenting about lack of volume...........................my post here is a in a similar vein
viewtopic.php?f=36&t=530
I don't have an answer for you, just one possible software equalise solution, although I want a freeware solution so I'm still looking.

One possibility maybe the DFX Audio Enhancer plug-in. Although it costs money there's apparently a free version which includes a working audio gain control. I'll try it tonight and see if there's any improvement.
Although VLC works for my own files on the device I can't use it for Netflix - so a software solution looks to be my only hope.

I see you have tried DFX and the free version drops out after 10 minutes - not much use for me so my search goes on for a freeware solution. Alternatively, I'll just have to splash out on the plug in.

Hi Quatermass

You can press a button and DFX goes for another 10 minutes or so, also the full range of settings aren't available.

Still worth evaluating, although tis an expensive solution considering the price of the Linx tablets.

The volume seems low on this forum's audio reply setting now :(

I can't believe no one else suffers with low volume on the Linx, I've looked 'nearly' everywhere for a free fix, the DFX software proves the sound quality could be better.

Many thanks for contributions to this thread and the one I originally posted about the Linx volume at viewtopic.php?f=36&t=530
I have contributed to these threads and mentioned the DFX audio enhancer as it''s the only workaround I've found.
£20 is steep to buy the full version, however the trial version has improved things for me, especially with iplayer etc.

Before I part with my hard earned cash, does anyone else on this forum have a solution to my issue, most soundcard's can be tweaked, sadly the Linx doesn't seem to have this option.

A don't know, don't have this issue, I use a bluetooth speaker etc.or any comment from the Admin here would be something to put my (our) issue into context.
