Intel Updater - Display Blank

Postby Popc0rn » December 13th, 2016, 10:30 pm

My Linx 8 screen rotation stopped working following an update so I installed the Intel Updater to let it get the job done of using the drivers. Everything started out fine, it reported that drivers were being installed, etc. Suddenly during installation the screen goes blank (black) and stays that way. An hour late the display is still blank so I have to do a hard reset. (Long pressing the power button)

When the tablet starts up again everything is fine, but the driver wasn't updated and screen rotation doesn't work.

Any suggestions, please?

Hmm

I would always try OEM drivers even if they are out of date . Usually OEM drivers have been modified to suit their devices

Generic drivers can cause issues on some devices

Just manually install the sensor driver. Which is stored in windows. Its called fusion sensor. You install it via device manager. My sensor stops every now and again. Simply uninstalling it and re installing solves issue.
