Gonna order this one to try out, according to the listing there's a 3 way switch,
Which is working best for you?
Thanks

For £11 I'll take the risk and buy what's linked in that thread... I'll let you all know in about a month :D

There's also another option around (the Vener8) which seems to work by putting a resistor across the USB data pins. Enough to put the tablet to charge mode, but not enough to interfere with USB devices.

I've found something very similar on Ebay.com: http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Port-USB-2-0- ... 5417d659a3

More pictures on this listing: (this seller doesn't ship to UK) http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Port-USB-2-0- ... 5417db2f10

Has the blue light like the other one but one less usb port... Only £5.84 so i've took a gamble on it.

Hi gh97

Did this one work

This is the hub I have just bought,

On switch 2 it maintains the the change but didn't seem to add to it. I had a wireless mouse plugged in and a flash drive, I played a film from the flash drive and it stayed at 20% battery for the hour it was playing. It didn't seem to have enough power to change when I plugged in a seagate usb 3 HDD though.

I tried a cheap Y cable from ebay without much success, but trying to modify the cable it seems if the ID pin is not connected it'll take power from the cable without data, or When grounded or with various resistors across ground to ID pin it'll take data and no power. Tried resistors across the D+ and D- without much luck either.
Hopefully can stumble across the sweet spot at some point.

It does... sort of. Keeps charge when set to 1 or 2 but still not enough charge to increase battery level.

Can ignore, changed the USB power cable and now working fine.

Ordered the OTG cable from Aliexpress (http://lnxtb.lt/1eTXh6o) and plugged it in, worked great and was alerady set to setting 2. Tablet starting charging and plugged in USB stick and came up.

Thought I'd see what happens when set to 1 & 3, setting one stops charging but allows USB connection, setting 3 allowed charging but no USB. Went back to setting 2 and now it's only charging and not allowing any USB inputs to be detected.

Anyone got any ideas what's happened?

The USB OTG cable above, seem not to be working well with my Linx8.

Pretty much all the time it charges fine but the USB hub just doesn't work.

Anyone got any tips to get it working properly with the Linx8? Any settings that need to be enabled?
