Linx 8 to be replaced by Linx 8 3G

Postby Dann » April 16th, 2015, 3:38 pm

The Linx 8 tablet is to be replaced by the Linx 8 3G.

(Spotted by jo3y here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=647)

The manufacturer has released a 3G variant at a £30/£40 premium.

Currently on sale at a few retailers, we'll update the post shortly.

The Linx 8 is expected to be discontinued shortly.

We've updated the forums to reflect this change, and added the Linx 8 3G user manual to the downloads sections.

For users of the Linx 8 3G, here is a list of current Sim card offers to enable the 3G:

For users of the Linx 8, here is a way to enable 3G on the tablet via a MiFi Device:

This is interesting, I will watch to see if three will offer this on their data contract.

That would be good, I prefer to get my tablet on contract as I am out and about a fair bit so getting the data connection to email is very helpful. Three only have ONE windows tablet and a load of gastly android ones (never touch one of those!), Tesco mobile, who have have started using don't offer a single windows tablet! So plenty of opportunity in the data contract world for a new tablet.

Thumbs up for 3G but only 16GB internal memory, yikes!

Wonder if they'll do a Linx 10 + 3G

Oh dear, looks like there's some confusion already! They do both agree on the cpu though, they list the Z3735G which is a downgrade from the current Z3735F.
