You will only see the usb option if the attached usb stick is bootable. You might need to remake it, and try again.

If you believe usb stick us ok, then (with a separate usb stick, make a recovery usb stick and try booting with that as a test.

Trying this on my Linx 7 - I got as far as the "Reset PC" option booting from USB but now it's stuck with the Linx logo on black screen with the little dots circling underneath. The light on the USB stick is going insane flashing on and off but nothing's actually happening?

This is designed for the Linx 8, so it isn't guaranteed on the other tablets. That said, it should at least load - have you tried a different USB drive?

Yes I understood it might not work 100% but as my 7 was bricked, I thought it was worth a shot :-)

I ended up leaving it alone for ages - I came back after about three hours and it was at the first setup screen. Managed to get it working with a set of drivers downloaded elsewhere and a mouse plugged in the OTG cable. Now to buy a key, I suppose...

Hi guys, I've been looking for help on my Linx 8 for a while now and found this site tonight so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately I seem to have fallen at the first step.

After downloading the image for the Linx 8 and running Rufus (2.11.995, couldn't find the one you used) It says "Please click on the disc button to select a bootable image, or Uncheck the Create a bootable disk Checkbox". It looks the image isn't bootable.

Any suggestions? Thanks guys.
