Windows 8.1 Pro Install Image

General chit-chat on the Linx 8

Thinking about it, you could use the Linx 8 image....

You'll still have to install the Linx 7 drivers, but its all setup and ready to go with wimboot - it save you a fair bit of time in that aspect. You'll have list a little but if space by the Linx 8 drivers being present, but only a hundred Mb or so. And your device will show as a Linx 8 in the OEM info but thaws easily changeable.

Unfortunately I've lost the complete files due my VM becoming corrupt as I moved computer (everything to do with the Linx basically!) - but there's still a way to do it...

You'll basically need to follow this: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=294 to create the USB drive, then follow the steps for option 1. I'll then add the $PBR files as you'll still need these. I've changed the OP accordingly.

After the restore was done I got asked something along the lines of "a configuration change was requested to clear this computer's tpm" I clicked yes by pressing the power and the tablet restarted fine.

Hope this helps anyone else that comes across this!

If you give it time, I'll upload the factory recovery image which you can flash to a USB drive.

Right guys, so the idea was to get the image ready to upload through the night. Unfortunately it seems there's an issue with getting the image to boot so I'll need to investigate this first and I'm away all weekend. I'll aim to get it sorted on monday however.

In the meantime, if anyone with a Linx 7 or 10 would be able to provide me their 3 recovery files I'll be able to package them up for a recovery image for each tablet.

Can't we just remove to install.win from the pro image and add it to the Bing image
